Trump is probably going to win. People need to keep in mind that pissed off rednecks are the majority in this country. And pissed off rednecks love Donald Trump.
I don't think so... Trump is set to lose the upper-middle/rich white vote for the first time in Republican history. They will go with the neo-con disguised as a democrat. Romney had them and the rednecks on lock and still lost. Trump basically only has the uneducated, never hilary, plus the anarchist/troll vote. The only worrying part is... there could be a lot of 'hidden' Trump voters who won't identify themselves publicly. No big deal if he's down 10+ points, but if the polling gets close he has a shot. Can't believe I'm saying this, but Hilary needs to go 100% negative ads only. Nobody likes her so her feel good ads are a miss. Just keep hitting Trump on negatives hoping to get enough notTrump votes.
I swear the one thing I've been worried about is terror attacks as we close in on the election. They will only help Donald Trump and this last weekend probably bumped him into the lead. Plays into the doom and gloom he's been preaching.
Not really…the GOP is always at a disadvantage if there's high turnout (a lot more voters registered as Dems), which is one of the reasons they currently put so much focus on putting up additional hurdles to voting.
I see voter turnout being very low. These candidates are not well liked. When the candidates are unlikable, large numbers of Americans, especially young people and minorities, tend to stay at home, even when one of the candidates is completely awful. Americans give no fucks about the lesser of two evils. Case in point: the 2004 election. If the Dems were running anyone other than Hillary, this would be the easiest election ever. They shot themselves in the foot by sabotaging Bernie, as he would have easily beaten Trump. Young and minority voters would have voted for Bernie, and Hillary supporters would have come around. Hillary will not get many of the Bernies Bros. They will stay at home on election day or vote third party. She basically has John Kerry's voter base, and we saw how that turned out. Also, do not underestimate pissed off rednecks. They are a huge part of the voter base in this country. They elected Bush twice. Some of them took a chance on Obama in 2008 because they wanted to try something different. Romney did not appeal to them because he was a Mormon. But they love Blue Collar Billionaire/WWF Wrestling Heel Donald Trump. People need to start getting comfortable with the idea that Trump will probably be our next president. You also have a lot of people, women included, who do not think women are even tempered enough to run a country. Trump may be a madman, but that's perceived as better than some crazy pantsuit wearing feminist.
And none of that will get them to turn out to vote for a white lady. Obama was different because they felt like they were voting for one of their own.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...es-refugees-poisoned-skittles-twitter-reacted Trump Jr has the right idea, except it's probably more like half of the bowl that's poisoned.
First question in, Hillary gives robotic political double speak while Trump gives a emotionally charged real-world answer.... This is going to end so badly
It's not going well for Hillary. She's giving political fluff answers, and Trump is tearing them to shreds. He's doing a great job of making her look like some out of touch career politician. Edit: the debate shifted in favor of Hillary as it went on. Hillary kept baiting him, and he kept taking the bait and sounding ridiculous. Overall I think it was a draw. Neither candidate came out of this looking all that great.
It shifted hard on social and racial issues. I'd say Hillary came out slightly better but not by much. Gotta give serious props to her campaign for the real-time fact check. Slick website setup. Awesome idea with a impressive execution. I did LOL at several of Trump's trolls. Best pilot of fall season, imo.
Man, you guys are some hard-core Trumpers. Here's a summary of Trump's debate performance last night...
Nobody here is a hardcore Trumper. I think we can just see that both of these candidates suck. Hillary gave meaningless fluff answers and got called out on it. Trump took a lot of Hillary's bait later in the debate and got pretty flustered. Neither one of them came out of this looking great. Seriously contemplating just leaving the president spot blank on the ballot or voting third party.
You have to be a hardcore Trumper in order to view that debate as a draw or a "slight edge" for Clinton. Trump came off as an unprepared bullshit artist who was proud he didn't pay federal income tax and profited from the housing crash. Yeah, that's really going to go over well with undecided voters. http://www.rollingstone.com/politic...ts-from-the-first-presidential-debate-w442029
Research is showing undecided millennials will simply not play the 'least worst option' game. They are polling 30%+ towards 3rd party candidates Stein and Johnson. Effectively, they are voting for Trump. I don't think a disingenuous offer of free education is going to get them back, so it comes down to Trump acting like a lunatic. I don't think he said anything scary enough last night. That's as close as he'll get to being likable.
I've never seen anyone make a coherent argument for why Stein or Johnson would be outside of the "least worst" characterization. Just because they're 3rd party? Johnson is an anti-democratic feudalist and Stein thinks Sanders was a sell-out insider.
lol Jill Stein is probably the 2nd biggest troll on Twitter after Trump. Also, Bernie is a sellout for endorsing Shillary. Got a nice beach home though.
The reason he endorsed Clinton is because her campaign was willing to incorporate some of his campaign platform into her own. That's not a sell-out. That's an accomplishment. Sanders himself said that he campaigned as a Democrat in order to get more coverage of the progressive agenda and to try and generate leverage for it nationally. I guess he could have thrown a tantrum and refused to have anything to do with her, but I think Sanders actually gives a shit about seeing some of his goals take place in his lifetime. The 3rd parties aren't viable for that currently.
