First official picture of Chris Evans as Captain America
Feck Captain American film, I wan't a Captain Planet one! har.
I thought you were talking about this Chris Evans for a bit there...
Captain Planet! He's a hero!
There are a few things that would make capt america a great flick. sex, boobs, brutal violence, and mma.
One of the films I'm most looking forward to is "The fighter" it stars Mark walberg as Micky ward and follows his career if you don't know who Micky ward is then you need to watch the Micky Ward - Arturo Gatti trilogy they were right up there with the best boxing matches even to happen and they were both real life Rockies and the film has been rumored to be as good/ even better than rocky, fingers crossed for this one.
also looking to the Green Hornet for some Unknown reason.
It's probably not 2011 news but Henry Cavill will be the next Superman.
He was good in the The Tudors, but I mostly watched that show to see the King's various conquests of busty maidens.
What was wrong with the guy in the other film? He looked suitable.
The fact that you don't remember his name is the answer to that question.
Still, he looked like a good superman. This guy Doesnt look as clean cut or heroic.
Metrosexual superman from "Superman Goes to the Hospital and has Baby Mama Drama," or whatever that godawful movie was called?
Ok, plotwise, the film wasn't great, but we've had emo superman before, "oh noes she is dead I shall make the earth spin backward and rewind time"
But the character was ok.
I didn't see a reason to change either but maybe he got too old or ugly to play the part. There was also that rumor that his bulge was too big. Maybe the new movie budget wont allow for de-bulging special effects.
People hated Superman Returns. It was supposed to reboot the franchise, but that never happened. As I was walking out of the theater some dude shouted "that movie was gay as hell" and everyone laughed.
I think they're trying to get a fresh start.
The first teaser poster for Captain America is out:
I think that looks sweet. It totally captures the tone of the era the movie is set in. Nice to see they kept it in World War 2. There's something just epic about the story of the man too sick to serve his country but transformed into a super soldier by super science...
Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Interesting concept, updated for modern viewers. Not really sold on it myself but WETA's work on the Apes is just stunning. Will be worth watching for the FX alone.

Guillermo Del Toro's remake of a Seventies horror flick. I've never seen the original a friend of mine says it's pretty good. Del Toro is one my favourite directors when he gets the right material to work with; I love Pans Labyrinth. This looks like it could be a good flick for the cinema. Ironically I think Katie Holmes lives her life with Sr.Cruise locked up in a basement like the one in the trailer.
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, The Game) has made an English version of the swedish movie. I kinda want to see the Swedish version but I don't want it to spoil anything. Normally I'd watch the original but with Fincher doing this, (with Daniel Craig starring), I'm really keen to see this one too...I'll probably give in and watch the Swedish film but this is still going to be worth checking out.

I fucking love the orignal. It's camp entertainment and I'm kinda intrigued to see this one too. For Dr.Who fans, David Tennant is taking the role played by Roddy McDowell in the orignal..which to me is just weird. Also Colin Farell sometimes does a decent movie.
It was a good movie. It will be interesting to see if this English version has the same brutal, dark, emo feel.
I don't know who Rooney Mara is, but what I do know is that she isn't Noomi Rapace. Thumbs down and a cold scowl to a Lisbeth that isn't Noomi.
Noomi loading up to kill the imposter Lisbeth.
It aint easy being this Goth.
Any movie with a poster this cool is getting fucking seen.
