Yes thankfully it's under warranty. They even cover shipping both ways. The card is toast. I get artifacts and crashing in games, and it's even having issues with HD flash videos. I have a couple of laptops, so I won't be without a computer. I just won't be playing any games. I don't know, maybe I'll try some PS3 stuff while it's gone. Problem is, I usually rent console games, and I'm not aware of any video stores near me that are still in business.
Stick with it if you can, it gets a hell of a lot better. Of course the early parts are quite a bit more interesting enemy-wise on the second playthrough not only because they're bigger and more varied, but because you have weapons that are awesome fun. That had to be the main thing which kept me playing - the search for better weapons!
Right now I'm only playing old games from the 90's. RTS is the flavour this week, I'm revisiting Knights and Merchants which has a great town building aspect, but a very poor battle aspect. Z is another one I've been playing and I have to say it's probably one of my favourite RTS' of all time. It definitely has the strategy aspect down! It's refreshing that it has some humour too.
I have recently dicovered a level of rage hitherto only seen in active volcanoes with pms. Its name is the absolute impossibility that is the red bull x2010 event on gran turismo. 2 hours and managed to get the car to complete a run twice, both 6 seconds off bronze. they make all the other events piss easy then throw one in that cant be done. I hope whoever came up with that idea gets horribly injured, or fired. that is all.
Yeah, I continued the slog through Skag Valley and it has definitely paid off. The sniper rifle that you get from TK Baha as payment for the annoying seed picking mission is a major upgrade. Moving on to the Sledge storyline now. I can already tell this is a game that I'll probably be motivated to finish.
If you're using a pad, give up now. They gave that Vettel guy a full wheel setup and several hours to set that time. Unless you are at one with the pad and game, all Zen like, you won't be able to do it. There was a super talented guy from the GT forums, he did two of the races with a pad but had to borrow a wheel for the last one. Like this: If you have the Red Bull X1 from reaching level 35 B spec, there's no real reason to get the others, besides for completionism. You have to be level 40 A or B spec to buy the one in the dealership which appears after you get to level 30.
Dead Space 2 It's far more polished and far better than the original, and I think this is a franchise that has really come into its own. Another plus: this game slams Scientology big time. I'll be amazed if they don't get sued.
I just completed Dead Space 2. Without spoiling anything, I'd recommend upgrading stasis as you approach the end. I didn't being unaware of what I would encounter, and it got ugly fast. You'll thank me later. I've been playing Mass Effect 2 DLC, Dead Space 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, and the Killzone 3 beta.
Make sure you are dropping med kits, ammo, ect. That adds up fast. Also, drop anti-tank mines on maps in areas tanks are likely to travel. I get lots of kills putting mines around M-COM stations, often much later in the match. I hide them around blind corners and in shadows or holes for a nice explosive surprise.
I'm playing Littlebigplanet 2, 3 more levels to ace and I'm trying to finish the level that monsly and grim abandoned.
Yeah, I had noticed the stasis module is a bit different in Dead Space 2. It fires more like a projectile, and without any upgrading, two shots drain it. I didn't upgrade it very much in the original game, but I'll definitely be upgrading it this time around. Without spoiling anything, what was your opinion of the game overall?
The ending may be rather polarizing, but I was happy with just about everything about the game except the sharp rise in difficulty near the end, some of which was related to the stasis issue. There's a particular type of foe that really frustrated me and reminded me very much of a pest in another series. I started a New Game+ and like the new suit I unlocked. I'd say maybe 8.5/10 to 9/10 overall.
After 9 years, I thought I would start Final Fantasy VI the Snes version. There is no chance of a Final fantasy VI Ds/3DS remake in the foreseeable future let alone a Final Fantasy V so now is a good time. I only played it for a short while up until the part after Lock and Terra leave the first town. I will be playing this more tomorrow.
I don't even like Final Fantasy, and FF3/6 for the SNES is one of my all time favorite games. Great storyline and characters, great music, awesome steam punk setting, and Kefka is a badass villain.
Still playing Fallout New Vegas. For all it's flaws it's still a heck of a lot of fun. Much better than Borderlands.
The music for Final Fantasy VI seems too good for the Snes. Always been a good game, but I still prefer VII and VIII.
I only prefer those two games as I like the setting, feel, music and story's. VI is obviously a great game but I just prefer those too. VI seems a bit cheesy at times though. Now there is a Nintendo 3DS, Square can finally do Final Fantasy V and VI remakes like the DS had for III and IV. VI will be amazing with better graphics and dialogue!
