1. Princess bride is the greatest movie of all time so thanks for that chi. 2. I am Irish/Mexican and the wife is black/puerto rican. 3. You would think there were more hardcore players but to be honest I have only met about 1/100 and I am hr734 >< which means even at high hrs most ppl still suck.
Lol I have a LOT of stories dealing with mh period not just frontier. For instance I have yet to find a monster as big as the plesioth my friend and I fought on freedom one. Damn thing was so big we barely reached its ankles. It coulda ate any fatty and still been hungry. Frickin thing was over 6k in size and to date neither of us have seen bigger. I think it was honestly some sort of glitch but who knows.
Started Sam and Max Hit the road. Not really play many adventure games back in the day but heard this was a great video game series so thought I would try it out. The humour and voice overs are winning me over so far..
I broke down and got The Secret World. I go to play it for the first time and the servers go down for the night.
Going through a big RPG love fest recently(again) and after re-finishing Grandia 2 I have Wild Arms to play. It's a bit oldschool but still a good game. I'm going through all the old PS1 RPG's I never played back then.
Started Skyrim again, this time as an archer thief. Enjoying it much more in this role, makes you think a bit more about what your doing. Melee is generally dull in all FPS games and I found the mage class a little to easy, just charge in and obliterate everything.
Try not to focus on your archery skills too much. That'll make you crazy op again. But don't neglect it either since there are quite a few times (mostly boss fights) where you'll need it as your melee combat abilties as a thief will turn you into a puddle of goo.
Been playing the PC version of The Last Remnant(With a PS3 controller of course) and this time around I am enjoying it. When I borrowed it from my brother a few years back I never played it as much as I should have but I am having a blast with it this time. I have been farming for weapon and item upgrades as well as leveling up more this time. shouldnt have a problem with enemys for a while unlike last time.
I think I'm about ready to give up on The Secret World. It's a bunch of good ideas mixed with some boring play style. It feels more like a single player game than a MMO. I'm not that far in but I haven't had a single reason to team up with anyone yet. Most of the instances I run are meant for 1 person. The story is really good and the missions are great but combat is repetitive and unrewarding.
Crystal Caliburn II Some of you may remember the original Crystal Caliburn that was put out by the Japanese developer LittleWing, but this is essentially a "reboot" of that digital pinball classic for mobile with a new table layout and far superior graphics. Quite a fun game. The table goals seem easier than the original, and getting multi-ball and making it to the 'final battle' are satisfying without being frustrating. Hopefully they'll continue to put out new tables for mobile. My high score is currently #30 in the world. That won't last for long...
I've been poontanging New Vega the last couple of weeks, I've almost got all of the non dlc achievements for it. I might go back the PS3 version as I when I finished it I still had a load of trophies to get. Also Jetpack Joyride on my iPhone, it's great fun.
I've been playing Max Payne 3 a lot lately. I'm almost through a run on Hard difficulty. I found all the golden guns except a single piece of the last incomplete weapon. I scoured that level trying to find it, but no luck. I've felt like this game was influenced a bit by the Uncharted games. It has a distinct tone and feel to be sure, but I see some similarities. I'm glad I found this on sale. It was well worth the $30. It's probably my second favorite game of the year so far after Journey. MP3 is also one of the most visually impressive games I've seen. I didn't expect it to look quite this good.
As there is nothing new out I am working my way through the Metroid Prime Trilogy after recently completing Zero Mission and Fusion again. Finished 1 and 3 in the past but never got even past the first area in 2 so that should be something new at least if I can keep my interest up as it is the weakest of the trilogy by far. Playing them all on the Wii of course, the motion controls really did make these games better. Currently in the Phazon mines about to fight Omega Pirate on Prime 1 so pretty far in. Not sure yet if I will go for 100% item completion as things like missile expansions and the energy tank in Phendrana that require the plasma beam are pretty far out of the way but we shall see. Not really been going for 100% log book either, been scanning bits and bobs as some of the lore and pirate entries are interesting to read but not making too much effort, know I have missed quite a few enemies and a boss that I can't scan again.
Just finished prime 1 with an 85% collection rate in just over 6 hours. Probably a little long but I wasn't trying to speed run or anything. Not sure I have the skill to even attempt a low % sub 2 hour run, would have to use GC version anyway as they took all the sequencing breaking stuff out in the Wii release. Its a shame as metroid should be all about sequence breaks but fusion and other M stop it completely. Still a fantastic game. On to prime 2 next.
