Bfun, you are starting down a dark path of imaginary pillow wives, and this will be you if you don't return the game:
I just earned platinum trophy in Rayman Legends. Awesome game and very tedious last trophy where you have to take part in online challenges. Despite dozens of Marios and many other games in last 30 years, I guess this one is the very best on my list of platform games.
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Seemed pretty boring. Like Alan Wake without the shooting. Refund requested. The Talos Principle Like Portal, but without the humor and with tedious rather than clever puzzles. Not worth $14. Definitely not worth the $40 they normally charge. Refund requested.
Alien Isolation Crappy game. Should have paid attention to the 6/10 on Gamespot and 5.9/10 on IGN. Refund requested.
Among recent purchases? Homeworld Remastered was excellent. Wolfenstein was alright. My other recent purchases have all been duds.
It's easy to be swayed when they're so cheap during steam sales and have postive user reviews. I have impeccable taste in games.
Spec Ops The Line It has a story inspired by Apocalypse Now with the gameplay of Gears of War and the same kind of thuggish American soldiers that were the villains in Half Life 1 as the enemy. The game is a bit of a mind fuck in that it initially makes you think it's just another dudebro shooter, but it gets really dark really fast. The white phosphorus scene actually made me feel pretty shocked and disgusted. I haven't quite finished it but it feels like a solid 8/10.
The Last of Us So far I'm not that impressed with it. It's trying to way too hard to be whatever the game equivalent is of Oscar bait. There's also so little interactivity that it barely registers as a game. Just seems like another overhyped, overrated console exclusive to be honest.
He probably played a small dose of it as it starts slow after the great start or he couldnt get past the first clicker.
