What Games Are You Playing?

  1. Shadow of the Colossus:

What a game this is turning out to be. Don't how I left it so long to play this but I am really enjoying it. Scaling each colossus is very fun. Just done the 7th so far and supposedly there's 16 of them. Playing it via PSnow so this hasn't cost me a penny.

  2. Tales of Zestiria. Been a while since I have played an JRPG(Probably actually Tales of Xillia on the PS3 :D) Enjoying it so far.

  3. I'm playing Homeworld Remastered and I'm find it very difficult to manage my fleet. The learning curve is steep with this one.

  4. the learning curve is like trying to climb an erect penis if you're a 1 millimeter tall. it's even harder than sins of a solar empire.

  5. You'll get the hang of it after a few missions. It's a bit more complex than other RTSs because combat occurs in three dimensions. Capture as many ships as you can. You will need them later. The imperial fleet is huge.

  6. Hearts of Stone, the Witcher's DLC. Really enjoying it so far, the story is engaging because of interesting characters. It possibly however is slightly too specific for slavic culture context as it references some stories that are not well known outside.

I also started AC: Syndicate and it doesn't seem to introduce much into the formula. The city itself is slightly disappointing as it doesn't have the versity Paris had.

  7. Someone help me out. I've just started playing Metal Gear Solid V and after a really bizarre opened and having to stare at some dudes ass crack for much longer than really necessary I'm now in Afghanistan. I'm killing "bad guys" but the game is punishing me for it by dropping my honor or something. Trying to read some reviews and everyone assumes if your playing this game you must have played the previous ones and know whats going on. Whats the deal? Do I kill everything or not? Is there like a dummies guide to Metal Gear Solid?

  8. I've played some of the previous MGS games and I'm still not sure I'd have any idea whats going on. The stories in those games are totally off the wall Japanese comic book stuff that makes very little sense.

I think you're supposed to be using that skyhook thing to capture things and send them back to your base rather than killing them. At least that's what I saw people doing in videos.

  9. It's a stealth game. Getting spotted etc loses you points. Taking too long also loses you points.

  10. Been a long time since I posted in this thread...

    SpecOps: The Line

Gameplay wise it's a standard duck and cover war shooter with arguably less than ideal controls. But it has one of the most intriguing stories I've seen in a long time. It seamlessly transitions from a shoot the 'bad guy' game into a pretty deep, moralistic, anti-war simulator. Really hard to explain unless you experience it, all I can say is I couldn't stop playing for the story only.

  11. The gameplay in SpecOps is pretty average. The story is one of the biggest mindfucks ever.

  12. Don't you have to pay for PS Now? I've heard that game is a favourite of many people. Never played it.

  13. I've always hated that. Stealth games have always taught me to be patient for the best results. You shouldn't feel forced to rush in a stealth game IMO.

  14. They had a seven day trial at the time so I tried it out and could play any game for free. Think they still let you doing one too.

  15. It's not an either or situation with mgsv though. You can go completely stealthy and take ages and get a top grade or you can go loud and fast and still get a top grade.

The penalty for being spotted is outweighed by the speed bonus.

@bfun I mostly went for a lethal playthrough, it's just too satisfying taking people out with a powerful sniper rifle. Of course, I tranqed the guys with good stats so I could kidnap and brainwash them.

  16. The Witcher 3. I hate this game, it never ends. 8/10

  17. Tomb Raider Reboot

It's similar to the Uncharted games. I have no idea how similar it is to the older Tomb Raider games because I never played them. I never could get into Uncharted, but for some reason I'm enjoying this. Maybe it's that the main character is a hot girl with perky C-cups in a tank top instead of some douchebag. Probably also that I can play it on PC with better graphics and controls. I feel kind of bad for Lara. She's constantly getting hurt, and the sex starved men on the island seem to be trying to rape her at every turn.

  18. Metal Gear Solid 5

I'm having a hard time understanding why this got the high ratings. The missions are repetitive, the environment is repetitive. It was fun at first but I'm only on the 10th mission and I'm getting burned out.

  19. Someone recommended the Talos Principle, bought it from psn and just can't get into the game. Completed like 3/4 of the world (first world?), puzzles are simple and repetitive, you constantly jam lasers and robots.

Strange enough, I feel sick playing longer than 15 minutes, never ever had this kind of sensations before playing games. Something about the colours and rapid movement, I remember the carsickness when I was a kid and this is something similar.

But why on earth this game gives me sickness while no other does?

  20. I bought Talos Principle based on the really positive reviews and ended up getting a refund for it on Steam. It was like a really crappy bargain bin version of Portal with boring and repetitive puzzles. No idea why it has a 9/10 from Gamespot.
