Yeah…to me, Fallout 4 is the redemption of Fallout 3. The concept was always good, but FO3 failed to really deliver the actual game experience that it deserved once you got outside the Vault. I'm sure part of that (at least for consoles) was the technology shortcomings of the time.
I'm still alive. I've been in the process of putting my own practice together and have been preoccupied with that lately. I've been jumping around trying to catch up on different games I hadn't gotten around to finishing. Witcher 3 seems the most appealing right now.
Destiny is pretty much dead right now. There's a few weekly things I do, but I've been on my PC a lot more than my PS4.
I got bored of Destiny After 2 months. That's not a good sign. Destiny 2 needs to do lots of things if it doesn't want to fall into the same trap Of bordom quick.
Bungie has made some really awful choices that are contrary to what the user base wanted. The stubbornly implemented a skill-based matchmaking system that was an absolute disaster. It made every single match extremely difficult to win, and the lag was the worst it had ever been. The main thing I'd heard people complain about in Destiny PvP matchmaking was the lag, and they made it substantially worse. Sniper rifles have pretty much taken over. No new content. And to top it all off, Bungie has buffed Thorn to the point that it is once again one of the best weapons in PvP, so expect to see at least one or two of them in every game. During this same time they've nerfed Hawkmoon to the point that it's the worst exotic hand cannon in the game and probably worse than some legendary hand cannons. Their PvP guys do not know what they are doing. They are supposed to be releasing an update today to go to an aggressively connection based matchmaking system, but that amounts to the biggest improvement to Destiny is possibly solving a problem Bungie caused. Bungie has also adopted a very nasty habit of outright lying repeatedly to the Destiny user base. It's kind of amazing they could screw so many basic things simultaneously, which is why I've started playing other games instead.
Time to break into my Assassins Creed titles. Which to start with? Brotherhood Revelations Black Flag III
My favourite is black flag as I like like the exploration and ship battles. 2 is OK, I didn't like any of the others.
Well maybe I'll start with the oldest and move on if I don't like it. I believe II is the only one I played. I liked it but quit after I got stuck on some jump puzzles. Err now that I think about it I played about 30 minutes of Black Flag as well. I think I got busy and forgot to finish it.
Link to the past. Going through a Zelda phase at the moment and I have not played this for a long time. Slightly upgraded sprites and look. It's still a great game.
About 2 hours into AC3. I like it but it's also frustrating and sloppy sometimes. Lets see. In the beginning I arrive at a cave by truck but the there is no road. Most every step I take inside the cave happens again in a cut scene. There is a dramatic ship chase where the other ship is never seen. Apparently people can't hear gun shots unless they're less than 20 feet away. The background NPCs continue with their choirs while a bloody battle is happening around them. I had to spend about 10 minutes searching online to figure out how to fire a gun which is ridiculous. Fortunately many other people had the same problem.
I don't recall having any issues with not knowing how to fire a gun. Select it and press triangle. But then again it's been a couple of years since I played it and I remember it fondly as my favourite AC game so maybe the nostalgia goggles have erased those things from my memory. Grim Fandango Remastered. I heard about Grim Fandango back in the day but never got the chance to play it. Over the years I'd hear about it every now and then, and the game always remained a mystery to me. I knew it starred a skeleton man, and that it was popular, that was it. Sony gave it to us as PS+ subs and I jumped at the chance to finally play it. Now, I'm not particularly familiar with Double Fine or Tim Schafer, but after playing this game I can see why people applaud his writing. I think it's funny and zany, and the world they've created is really, well, creative. I've never seen anything like it. Unfortunately while I really dig the dialogue and cut scenes I'm finding the gameplay super tedious. I'm guessing this was originally a PC game (hence I missed out on it back in the day), it just has that late 90's PC game vibe, kind of like Toon Struck and Discworld, but it's definitely one of those "Where the fuck do I go and what the fuck do I do?" type games. The only reason I'm still playing it is because I want to get all the trophies so I can get rid of the game and free up space for the latest Fallout 4 update, so I'm using a guide to try to blast through it, well, meander through it really. Funny writing, great style, unique in pretty much every way. But boring as shit to play. Other games on my list of "I need to get the trophies so I can get rid of this game" are: Broforce. Galak-Z Flame Over I've also had Abe's Oddysee New n Tasty since 2014. I finished the game but missed most of the trophies. The game has been sat on my HDD waiting for me to pick it back up and platinum it for 2 years. So last weekend I sessioned it all day, rescuing all 299 Mudokons on hard mode, the only trophies I need now are for killing 99 Mudokons, and rescuing all 299 and finish the game in under 3 hours and I'm done. Whew. Edit: I'm also playing The Division with a couple of friends and loving it. I don't want to praise is too much though, because for a few months I loved Destiny too, before I realised how much I hated everything about it apart from the combat. Time will tell.
Playing it via Snes9x on my Laptop. I kept wondering where links voice sounds for attacking and falling down holes were but I then realized this was the Snes version and not the GBA version which added those sounds like OOT had. I was supposed to get a Link Between Worlds(Not played it yet) instead on my 3DS but for some reason the Eshop will not let me download anything and I keep getting error codes and I have tried everything like manual DNS settings, formatting the SD twice and even trying a different internet(Seems BT home Hubs won't work and I have perfect internet). Maybe you should try a restart of LTTP too if you have time?
For example the game will say shoot a barrel. If you try to shoot the wrong barrel or anything other than the right barrel the gun wont fire. If you are too far from the barrel the gun wont fire. Instead of telling you why the gun wont fire the game has your guy draw his blades which makes it very confusing. Pretty much every other game in history is just point and press button to shoot. Not sure how they messed it up so bad.
Did they make it so that if you pick the wrong lips or hair color, you die instantly and have to start over?
I've spent 6 hours playing this game. 5 of those hours were spent in the character creation menus. The remaining hour was spent dying repeatedly. My character is still not a sexy lady but at least she looks human. It's quite amusing that body hair is an option for female characters. Hairy chest included.
So I'm currently level 120 - something with 40/40 str/dex with a refined dark blade+10 and wolf knight armour. Completed the game but holding off of ng+ until I've rinsed ng for rings and other stuff.
