What Games Are You Playing?

  1. I keep playing Skyrim. I don't know why. I guess it's a like an old comfortable blanket.

  2. I know what you mean. Skyrim was an instant classic. I get nostalgic just thinking about it. Definitely one of the best games last gen, if not the best.

  3. I've been tempted to pick up the remaster but then I remember how in the end I found it got really repetitive and that puts me off.

  4. Bit late to it but I have been playing Zelda: Link Between Worlds. Really enjoying it at the moment, especially as its a sequel to LTTP and set in the same world. It feels a bit easy though and the dungeons seem short but they are enjoyable. The item rental thing is a nice different touch but since I was able to rent I managed to rent all items and I have yet to die and lose them, so that seems a bit rubbish. I have only just finished the fourth Lorule dungeon and I have bought everything except the rods. So far so good.

  5. I know. I couldn't even finish the DLC my first time. This time I'm going to try and be a sneaky thief instead of a solid magic user.

  6. Playing Skyrim and Mortal Kombat X currently. Occasioannly still dip into GTA Online. Final Fantasy XV has me excited for some reason though. Looking forward to that. Then PSVR for Crimbly! Yeah baby!

  7. Started playing Ocarina of Time 3DS again for the second time. It's been a few years since I last did. Still playing Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as well. Clocked up nearly 200 hours while I farm endgame and play online for fun.

  8. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

It's 15 years old but I'm playing the HD remake. It's actually pretty good which I guess isn't too surprising considering Naughty Dog made it.

    Metal Gear Solid V

I don't know why this game is so highly rated. The world feels empty. Gameplay is repetitive. I'm guessing most of the challenge in this game stems from the bad thumbstick controls on consoles. On PC with a mouse, it's easy to just pop all of the enemies with headshots. But it's like the game wants to try to force you to use stealth for some reason. You get some arbitrary score at the end of missions that's bad if you just kill everyone. Does it get better or something?

  10. Yes. At some point you will unlock your base which is the size of Antarctica but only has 1 small porta potty that you must shower in to get rid of the flies that cover you. After that you will reach the mid point of the game and for reasons that wont be explained you will start every single mission over again but with some significant changes that don't make sense to a sane person. My understanding is Kojima tried to break the 4th wall in this game and the phantom pain is actually the feeling the player gets when they reach the end. I thought the game looked great and I actually enjoyed many of the missions but over all I kind of thought the game was designed by a crazy person.

In videos I see a lot of base management stuff. So you're saying that's all pointless and the base serves no purpose other than to take showers when you get too smelly on the battlefield? Can you at least get a bigger shower? It looks like the shower is the size of a portapotty.

  12. The base is mostly used for multiplayer. Apparently Kojima spent the last six months in a separate room away from the dev team. Fuck konami

  13. Finally started playing the Titanfall 2 campaign. It's pretty good.

  14. Zen Pinball versions of Skyrim, Fallout, and Doom. Skyrim really delivers the goods, and Fallout is underwhelming. Doom seems like it falls in between the two, but I haven't played it enough yet. One interesting thing about Skyrim is that you create a character and continue to level it from game to game. You can also equip different armor and weapons etc. The only drawback is that, similar to other Zen Pinball games, some of the challenge modes are waaaaay too long and complicated. I haven't even made it past the first main quest challenge.

  15. Rise of the Tomb Raider.

  16. I've fallen back for GTA with the Import/Export update and my friends doing what they said they'd never do, buy the game again on PS4. I keep flitting between that and VR stuff like Driveclub and VR Worlds. Dangerball is awesome.

  17. Been playing that too. The new Laura Croft has some kind of bizarre personality disorder. One moment she is cute and innocent and then the next moment she's burning her enemies alive and creating IEDs out of their corpses. Total sociopath really.

  18. IT'S LARA FOR THE LAST TIME YOU INFIDEL!
