Beat Sabre doesn't tend to cause any motion sickness. The games that cause it are usually first person or cockpit view games in which your eyes see you moving forward yet your body is obviously in a static position. Skyrim, RE7, and Arizona Sunshine hit me pretty hard with that. I have had little issues with Beat Sabre, Astro Bot, or Moss because you don't have that perspective that screws with your head regarding perceptions of movement. Higher frame rates also tend to help avoid motion sickness. I hadn't caught on to the fact that you need to hit blocks from a specific marked direction in Beat Saber until I played it. I've gained a greater appreciation of some of the elite players I've watched play it online. This uploader basically danced throughout her first attempt on Expert difficulty and earned an S rank while I struggle to even complete some of the Easy and Normal difficulties for a C rank
Divinity Original Sin II I'm enjoying it more that the first one. It's an 80 hour game but I have lots of spare time these days.
I’m actually playing the first one and am enjoying it. Well, I’m stuck at one of the big bads in the first one and haven’t played in a month or more. I have an aversion to crafting and need some potions or something. But it is technically what I am playing now. Good to know the second is even better.
I burned out on the first one somewhere near the last 3rd of the game. I heard burnout was an issue with the second game too, so the Enhanced Edition got a revamped 3rd chapter which was supposed to help. They also added a story mode which makes the game a lot easier if needed. My main gripe with the first was the dialog which seemed childish. The second seems a lot more mature.
Octopath Traveller. Played 10 hours, still can't work out if I am enjoying it or not, perhaps I will never know.
I've spent half the day fighting the same goddamn enemy, Darkeater Midir in Dark Souls III. It's probably the most difficult enemy in the entire series. It's like the director decided to try to simulate what it would be like for a single person with a sword and shield to try to actually fight a gigantic dragon. You are so thoroughly outmatched in every way it's absurd. EDIT: Finally killed this evil thing. This boss is brutal, one of the most punishing I've faced in years.
I completed Jedi Fallen Order a few weeks ago, I'd call it a mix of Tomb Raider and Dark Souls. I enjoyed it a lot. Not the "best Star Wars game" or anything like that, but it was very enjoyable for an adventure game. Right now I've been getting back into World of Warcraft Classic. I finally got myself a mount which is something I've waited to accomplish for a long time. To give some background, I never played Warcraft back in the day, but I played on Nostalrius for a few months until its demise (where I absolutely loved the game). After that I was too upset to try another private server in fear of it being shut down. I started again when official Classic launched and played for about 2 months (sadly my real life friends quit after just one month), and then I stopped because I didn't have enough free time. I have slightly more time now, so I continued my character and now at level 43.
MechWarrior 5 I supposed I've been waiting for this game since MechWarror 4 came out in 2002. Sadly the game disappoints for a few reasons. The graphics look like they belong on 2012 and the audio feels like it was done by amateurs. The game has a good modding community but unfortunately the XBox Live version I'm playing doesn't allow mods.
Injustice 2 on PS4 I haven't started the single player campaign yet, but the multiplayer seems very similar to Injustice 1. Sadly I keep getting beat by a 9 year old who's mastered Harley Quinn.
I'd read of concerns about Naughty Dog's activism starting to seep too much into their games, but so far I've only encountered hardened soldiers ready to whip out their big pistols for anyone who has misbehaved and needs harsh discipline.
I think an example might be the poster. Some people are wary of non-heteronormative propaganda. You know? “No homo in mah viddy games!! Goddamned SJWs!” Some are very tired of the preaching of social topics in entertainment.
Magic the Gathering Arena. If you like MtG, or want to try but never had friends, check it out. I’m a casual player and they finally got an OS X client so it’s pretty fun not having to deal with wineskins(which kept crashing after the last update). Basically it’s the card game with auto upkeep and no rules arguments. There’s different play modes (like bot, ranked, draft whatever) and I have yet to pay a dime and am at least competitive in most matches. So Free2Play is a viable way to go. It won’t go full screen on my machine though. The bottom is a little cut off which is annoying, but still playable.
