What Games Are You Playing?

  1. It should bore me but for some reason i dont find the pace an issue. There are sometimes when 1 turn can take a while for example when you're poisoned, being hurt by bind/burn etc and there's a sandstorm/rain/sunny day. It can take ages for that one turn to pass, luckily Visual Boy Advance (my gba emu) has a speed up function with the space bar that literally quadruples (or more) the speed to make fights quicker. Usually I don't use it though. It's great if you want to speed through the game.

  2. They can be quite slow, but they are still great games. Fighting non stop enemy's who run towards you after every step can be annoying too.

  3. I prefer that to grinding using wild pokemon. trainer battles just seem better to me.

  4. Considering trainer battles give good EXP whereas Wild Pokemon battles not I would expect so, lol. It is still annoying though.

  5. I downloaded Legend of Dragoon and Breath of Fire IV for ePSXe last night so I am currently playing these as I have a break from Star Ocean. I have completed Breath of Fire IV many times, but it is an awesome game. I have restarted legend of Dragoon many times, but I never finished it. The closest I got was on the very last boss, but I was not high enough to defeat it.

    Fun times ahead.

  6. I know you can trade the odd pokemon here and there with NPCs but I reckon they should expand on this. I've never been able to trade with people even when I was using an actual Game Boy/Advance so I've never been able to get Alakazam/Golem/Steelix etc without cheating. I think they should really open up the trading with NPCs function.

  7. Yeah that would be more helpful to people who do not have a friend with the opposite game, but then the DS versions you can trade with people over the world so it voids it in some way.

I was lucky with Pokemon Diamond though as I made my brother get Pearl and I spent lots of time swapping Pokemon when he was at college. He still has it down his house with all the Pokemon, which I bet he will steal to put on Pokemon white which I let him come up and copy off my PC the other night.

  8. Assassin's Creed 2

I'm really enjoying it so far. They fixed most of the things that irritated me about the first game. I like that it now focuses on assassinations, and they've largely done away with the errand boy stuff between missions, or made it optional. I like fixing up the villa and think it's a nice addition. I'm also finding that the characters are much better developed in this one and easier to relate to.

  9. What about those glyphs? They get really hard later in the game. I had to google a couple of them.

  10. Getting all 100 feathers were more trouble than the glyphs.

  11. I didn't bother. The only two achievements I had left to get on that game were feather related, I did everything else. The day I finished the story was the day I stopped playing that game.

  12. I finally got around to downloading Supreme Commander 2 after buying it during the Steam December-January sale. I must say, it's still pretty fun all things considered.

I do find the experimentals lacking somewhat though, they get flattened far too quickly. I have heard though that the DLC experimentals rectify this somewhat, with the return of the MonkeyLord, which seems to be even MORE dangerous than it was before.

  13. Supreme Commander 2 was alright, but I wasn't feeling it. They scaled it down too much. It feels more like CnC or StarCraft now.

  14. Yeah, I can see that. It did feel... smaller; even though there were hundreds of units, there weren't thousands.

  15. I found about half and needed a gamefaqs faq to finish them off. Otherwise I would have spent weeks looking. AC2 was my first and only PS3 game that I got a platinum trophy for.

  16. I'm steadily knocking off the glyphs and the assassin tombs, but I don't think I'm going to bother with the feathers.

  17. Overlord II. I haven't gotten far but it's a nice looking game. Kind of reminds me of Fable.

  18. The Assassin Tombs were awesome. They were like playing a next gen PS2 style Prince of Persia. Until the next gen Prince of Persia came out that is.

  19. They're tough but enjoyable. And you get the best armor in the game for completing them.

  20. Why would an assassin wear armor? He'd be all slow and heavy.
