Deus Ex Human Revolution. Only £29.99 new in GAME/Gamestation so I took the plunge. It was either this, Resistance 3 or Dead Island and this seemed like the safer option see as a few of you seem to be enjoying it.
Oh, i never played vegas six vegas. Sounds like a redundant game. But i like the rainbow 6 vegas series. Me and my friends killed the terrorist hunt mode in that game.
The original Vegas Six Vegas was a bit redundant, but I'm really looking forward to the sixth edition in the series, Vegas Six Vegas Six.
Doing terrorist hunt on Vegas 2 provided much entertainment for me and the boys a year or so ago, one of my mates actually took the Vegas 1 box to the counter but the guy somehow put Vegas 2 into it, nice.
It starts off slow, but it gets much better when the story starts to pick up and you get some of the better augmentations and gun upgrades. I wasn't expecting much after Invisible War, but it's better than I thought it would be. The combat is a bit like Rainbow Six Vegas, or maybe Metal Gear or Splinter Cell. It's all about killing enemies in a stealthy fashion or sneaking past them.
I bought Oblivion for my PC recently, it's much easier to play on a PC setup that's for sure, and looks much prettier to boot. Though my excessive playing I have amassed over 2 million gold as well as having 101% damage reflection and 100% spell absorption from some pretty good loot I've picked up; my character is now nigh on invincible and it's still fun to play a testament to how awesome this game still is.
It's not my second favourite game of all time for nothing you know! I prefer playing it on the consoles, the menus are far quicker to navigate for a start. My main character on the Xbox was around level 47 and I made a spell that coincided with his bonus attributes that made him literally invincible for 10 seconds, awesome
I just bought San Andreas on steam for a tenner. It's going to take fucking hours to download. It's averaging out at 250kb/s.
Picked up Resistance 3 today after hearing very good things. Only played an hour so far but it seems much better than the others so far in terms of the campaign. The atmosphere and story telling are better and the action seems sharper and more defined.
Resistance 2 was clearly rushed, which even Insomniac eventually admitted later. They actually gave themselves adequate time with R3, and I'm not surprised that the results are much better. I should have my copy late this week.
I would put the original Resistance up there with Halo: CE as one of the best console shooters I've played. Resistance 2 was quite mediocre, and to be honest, I never finished it.
I've bought Deus Ex yesterday, played for an hour. What impresses me is the attention to details. There are tons of things in the environment, ok, most of them are static and cannot be interfered with but still it all builds up the atmosphere.
I found it to be a bit peculiar that there is so much gorgeous detail and artistic touches in some elements, yet other aspects such as human faces look like they were from last generation. Looks wonderful at a distance. Look at how much better the clothing looks than the faces. I loved the way the material of the clothing looked. The faces, on the other hand, looked like they were a half step up from Halo 3. Overall, though, I really liked the atmosphere, and the level design was excellent for the most part. You can truly play this game with multiple styles, although as a big Metal Gear fan I personally think stealth is the way to go.
