I just picked up Space Marine for £20 and Ico/SotC on the PS3. Wasn't sure about Space Marine but £20 new seemed too tempting. Blockbuster had Deus Ex for £22 and I was sorely tempted.
Good god your turning into Chi, like to pretend your a hero running around holding a little girls hand do we? You should have purchased, fantastic game for £22.
They both seem a little dull to me. I know neither game is supposed to have a pace greater than that of even your fastest slug but if I need to drink coke to keep myself awake whilst playing then I know something is wrong with my game choice.
I do like the 40k universe and it's meant to have a good but short campaign which sounds great to me. Most games seems to last too long for me nowadays. You played it?
You've got no SOUL. FFS, someone called me during the SotC opening and now I've got to start it again. Bastards.
grim doesn't like playing games where he holds a little girl's hand. Strikes a nerve, methinks. I may be unavailable whilst playing through these two games.
I bought Gears of War 3 yesterday. Only played horde mode and had a little toy with beast mode, both on split screen with my brother. It's more different than Gears 2 than I was expecting, definitely a Gears 3 and not a Gears 2.5, which is awesome. I'm going to spend the whole weekend playing the crap out of it online. I joined the Gears 3 forum earlier and it turns out they've got some community events lined up for tomorrow evening, sounds like a chance to play with a bunch of (presumably) decent folks rather than the idiots you're usually lumbered with.
I really want RAGE for PC, but I'm trying to be disciplined and wait until it drops a bit in price as I did with The Witcher 2.
I got an email from my online shop, they say Dark Souls has been sent. I expect it tomorrow. Can't wait.
I watched a video review of Dark Souls. It looks so much like Demon's Souls that it might as well be a direct sequel. Even the sound effects and very subtle touches are from Demon's Souls. I'm glad it went multiplatform. This is the type of game I'd like to see get more exposure and hopefully build a larger user base. It's nice to have a few games that provide challenge and require some strategy and thought. Plus, the combat system is going to be awesome from what I've seen. The Souls games do so many things well. Also, from the bits I've seen of Dark Souls, FROM definitely maintains the comically punishing nature from Demon's Souls in their new game. I got quite a chuckle from seeing what happens with one of the covenants.
Pro Evo 2012 and this out this month. Don't know which one I should get. Someone has already been playing this for the last two days on my PSN friends list.
Just gone on a mini spending spree on the PSN: pocked up the original Crysis, the PS1 imports of Sonic Wings and Cho Aniki along with the DC (at a guess) version of Space Channel 5 part 2. Probably take me a few days to get these along with all the PS+ stuff I've got downloading.
Shouldn't do. In theory you can download 1GB in less than 5 minutes so even if you have 6GB worth of stuff that should only take 30 minutes or so (before you get throttled as I think that is above the 30Mbps upper limit). Might be best to do it in the morning when the limit is much higher. Between 4-9pm you will get throttled after the first 5GB, any other time you get 10GB to play with on your service level.
