What Games Have You Bought Recently?

  1. Decided to start playing FFVII to take my mind off the pain. Lets see how far I get tonight.

  2. Make sure you complete it this time and not quit on the first disk.

  3. Finally got around to playing BF3 campaign. Not impressed so far. The check pointing system is shit; feels really backwards with the amount of backtracking you have to do. I'll see how it goes. Yet to try multiplayer where I guess the real fun is.

  4. Did your happy-clicking butt lock this topic after you posted that?

Anywho, overall, the BF3 campaign was pretty meh. The only memorable parts of the beginning and then going into the jet skirmish. After that, everything thing was forgettable... except maybe the first spetsnaz mission. That was kinda nuts.

  5. Couldn't have been me, I think anyway - Ive been posting from that tapatalk thing so fat fingered accidental presses are a thing of the past. Just finished downloading Karkand so I'll try that next. I'm wondering if the console player limit will really show on that. Got great memories of the PC original.

  6. I'm surprised to see that on MGS 2 there is no trophy for completing the game without killing anyone. I am glad that the versions of MGS2 and 3 in this collection are the special editions (Substance and Subsistance respectively). I never got the chance to play MGS3 Subsistence which had the MGS4 style camera, this gon' be good.

  7. Lets see. Games I've bought that I've never played.

    Warhammer 40,000K Dawn of War
    Batman Arkam City
    Fable 3
    Alice Madness Returns
    Alan Wake
    LA Noir
    Uncharted 2

    Still need to finish
    Skyrim
    Red Dead Redemption
    Risen

    And play more BF3

Someone rank these games by length. Short to long. I need to knock out the short ones.

  8. You should be able to get through uncharted 3 in about 8-10 hours, start with that

  9. Warhammers about 12 hours.

  10. L.A. Noire is 20+ hours to complete.

  11. BF3 singleplay, Khaid said it was SUPER short! BF2 could be completed in like 4 or 5 hours, I'd say BF3 would have to be at least 2? lol

Skyrim, well let's just start at forever and go from there...

  12. It took me around 80 hours to finish the main quest and most of the major side quests in Skyrim. I'm burned out with it to be honest. I think I played it too much.

  13. BF3 took about between 5-6hrs. I played close to 2hrs a day for 3 days and completed it.

MW3 was even shorter. Between 4-5hrs.

  14. Hmmm. It's unusual for me have so many new games to play. I used to only buy one game a month, if that. Let's see...

    Bought Recently and Started Playing

    Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (PS3)
    Final Fantasy VII (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 2 HD (PS3)
    Shadow Gun (iPhone)
Minecraft Pocket Edition (iPhone, they recently added the first stages of survival)
    Furmins (iPhone)
    Lep's World (iPhone)
    Soul Calibur V (PS3)
    Bioshock (Xbox 360)
Driver (iPhone, exactly like the PS1 version, a good port)

Games Recently Bought that I Have Yet to Play

Metal Gear Solid 3 HD (PS3)
Metal Gears Solid: Peace Walker (PS3)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Complete Edition (PS3)
    Assassin's Creed Revelations (Xbox 360)
    Bioshock 2 (PS3)
Aliens vs Predator (PS3, was given it for free)
Monster Galaxy: The Zodiac Islands (iPhone)
    Infinity Blade (iPhone)
    Ganstar Rio (iPhone 1.7gb!)
    GTA: Chinatown Wars (iPhone)
Chrono Trigger (iPhone, played 5 minutes, didn't think much but it's too soon right?)

  15. MGS: HD collection off of my mate for £15. ;) Only been playing MGS2 so far.

  16. I just bought myself Alan Wake on PC, even though I have played though it on 360, it's such a fantastic title I don't mind playing it again on another platform.

  17. I've seen a lot of gameplay by never played the game or even thought about getting it.

  18. I remember the tech demo that had 4 tornadoes going at the same time. Each on it's own core. Then it went to console and crushed our dreams.

  19. Finally got around to playing Arkham City. I've enjoyed it so far - about a third of the way in - but it does feel a bit more of a retread than I thought it'd be. I think the more open world nature of the game hasn't worked as well as the tighter setting of Asylum either. Still, it's a very good game and I'd recommend it.

  20. I got a D&D value pack because it included Planescape Torment. Been wanting to give that a go.
