Most recently I've ordered Mass Effect 3 for PC and PS3 and Journey on PSN. I wish I could have a Portal 2-type deal and get both versions for the price of one. I played through the first hour of ME3 on PS3 via the 60-min PSN+ trial. I hope the full version arrives in the mail today or tomorrow. I'm not crazy about the new meathead character so far, but it was enjoyable otherwise. I went with an Infiltrator on Insanity difficulty. I'll pick a biotic character for the next run through. Journey is quite beautiful and relaxing. I have been looking forward to more from That Game Company and enjoy all their games. It's a very nice change of pace. I love the art style and way they handled sand in the desert environment. I encountered a random player in the world, and this individual was much more peaceful and cooperative than I am accustomed to from Demon's Souls or Dark Souls. It's fun to roam the dreamy fantasy landscapes at your leisure and pace. It reminds me a lot of Team ICO's work in some respects.
I've bought Trine 2, they have FINALLY released it for EU. Played till 4th level and it was well spent money. They game isn't too involving but they got my respect for the amount of work they had to put into polishing the graphics.
I got the PC copy for $47 and the PS3 version for $60 but with $20 credit on my next game. I bought both versions because I planned to play it with a friend on PSN online frequently.
What should I play next? Batman Arkam City Mass Effect 3 Asasians Creed 2 Fable 3 Alan Wake LA Noir Uncharted 2 I'm thinking ME3 -> BAC -> Alan Wake ->LA Noir
Has your spellcheck broke? Tsk. Varied list there, maybe something shortish and sweet to start - Uncharted 2?
Bought Skyward Sword from Amazon...it's been awhile since I've played any Nintendo games and kind of feel like I'm in the mood for some Zelda too.
I keep meaning to play it but my sofa is quite a way from my tv so the sensor bar doesn't register. I can move my coffee table and put it there but its a pain.
Picked up Wrecked on the PS3 tonight. Offline multiplayer was a fantastic laugh indeed - was the only game we played all evening. Heard its not great at all in single player and online is sketchy but same room multiplayer was totally worth it anyway.
I spent quite a lot of time in 2010 playing Mercenaries 2 that I downloaded from xbox live. I finished it an eventually deleted it for space as I only had a 20gb Xbox at the time. A few days ago I tried to re-download it now I have a hard drive 300gb larger. All I found was trailers and a demo. They've removed the game from live, which sucks. However I was in game station yesterday and I saw it preowned for £5 on ps3. I had to have it. I've been playing it and I still love it loads. Mercs 1 and 2 are among my favourite games. I also finally got around to buying Mortal Kombat as I've always been a fan and am currently training. Hopefully it will be as good as I've heard.
Yep. I've searched all over the marketplace. There's 5 or so trailers and a demo. They do have the full game listed but when you select it the only option you get it to download the trial.
Then you should complain and get a refund. I don't like the idea of only being able to buy games online in the future for this very reason. You are paying £40+ for a license to play a game that the provider could take down at any time. At least with disks you own the product and can use it 50 years from now (if the console still works)...
I could still have played Mercs in 50 years time (if I had one of those old fashioned HD tv things) had I not deleted the game. I could complain but I get the feeling they would simply say something like they reserve the right to remove games from the markertplace at any time without notice blah blah blah. The act of them removing the game wasn't what made it so I couldn't play it. It was me deleting it, they've simply made it so I can't redownload it. I guess hosting games on the marketplace is costly and it wasn't bringing in the cash, also the closure of Pandemic studios might have been a contributing factor. Second hand games save the day again! 5 squid, and people say they're too expensive rofl.
What if your console breaks and has to be replaced? My PS3 broke and I had to redownload all of my content, I would not have been happy if something I had spent £5-£10 wasn't available and would have complained straight away.
