I've bought second hand Thief and Rayman Legends both for ps4 which makes it total 5 games I own for this console. I've been considering Driveclub but their failure to deliver working online features despite the game IS about online, stopped me sucesfully. I wait for Assassin Unity and still can't make my mind about Lords of the Fallen.
I've decided to grt Driveclub, supposedly after the very last update they have weather effects. And I have to admit I am impressed. No signs of earlier issues, multiplayer works like a charm, the driving model is solid and not-so-professional, in fact, handling is much easier than in GT. I only started the game, got 8th or 9th level. What is great is that there is no story, just pure fun, I bet then I will play the game throughout the whole generation. An early note from me: something between 8 and 9. Solid and definitely recommendable.
I'm tempted by drive club but I'm homding out for it being in the 12 deals of Christmas. I'm a bit on the fence though as I prefer arcade style race games over simulations. @bfun: be interested in hearing what you make of spec ops. I'd heard a lot of hype about it but didn't think it really lived up to it; it was still pretty decent tho.
My thoughts from another thread. I'm still not sure how I felt about it. Maybe it's a really good game that I didn't care for.
Did you know it was inspired by Heart of Darkness/Apocalypse Now before playing? I did myself and thought it did a good job of being a game version of that. Thought some bits were a bit too unsubtle (white phosphorous stuff) and the story made fuck all sense so that detracted quite a bit for me.
I didn't know it and I only suspected it after it was done. I haven't actually seen either of those movies. The story made no sense in the beginning. Towards the end it actually has some reason and cohesion but I still wouldn't be able to explain what happened to someone else.
You should really watch Apocalypse Now and read Heart of Darkness, which is just a little novella you can read in a couple of hours. Both are great.
I'm tempted with driveclub too, but I'm waiting for monsly and grim to get it or try the PS+ version. The racing is more arcadey than sim.
I'm gonna have way too many games to play soon, Christmas and then my birthday in January. I ain't gots no time for Driveclub.
Couple of screenshots from me Water reflects both the car and the surrounding environment. As well as cars do
I got 3 new PS4 games for Christmas. Guilty Gear Xrd, Evil Within, and AC: Black Flag. Guilty Gear Xrd is my favorite.
I'm thinking of picking up Homeworld Remastered. I remember Homeworld being absolutely mindblowing in its day and would put it up there with Starcraft and Total Annihilation as one of the greatest RTS games of all time, but I have no idea if this gem from the golden era of PC gaming has stood the test of time. I also kind of want to support it because we've seen so few RTS games in recent years. It's a genre that's practically dead.
My friend was so addicted to home world it is now the game I associate with him the most. They look to have done a fantastic job with the remaster too. I too have been in an RTS mood of late, been playing old C&C games.
Bloodborne, Was more interested in this than AC Unity so will probably put that to one side for a bit, I have only just started it so not too bothered.
I am 5 hours into the game, killed the first boss which turned out to be optional. The second one, the one that you have to kill to progress, is much tougher, unfortunately.
