I have just bought The Order for 10$. I know that it is not that great but for 10$ it should be a fun few hours. I also don't have a single physical copy, so figured there should be one. Now thinking of The Witcher 3 but 25$ is kinda steep at the moment for me for a game I would never have time to play.
I picked up Until Dawn, Diablo 3, Disgaea 5 and divinity: original sin on Ps4. Also got shovel knight in the sales. Waaaay too many games to play and no time to do it in. @nate: be interested to hear what you make of The Order. Have been wondering if it's worth a punt at a real cheap price.
I imported The Order from the Amazon US so it will take a while to reach here. I'll definitely write my impressions once I get it.
Tell me how Disgaea 5 is once you get a chance to play it. Still havent even played the fourth one yet.
I bought The Nathan Drake Collection on PS4 from the PS store last night for £49.99, about to start playing. I did eventually play the first one on PS3 some time around 2011 I think, and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I'd planned on getting 2 and 3 but never followed through. Now Uncharted 4 is coming out and it looks awesome I don't want to jump in having missed the middle two stories. Let the Gamecube punching jokes commence!
I bought Bloodborne yesterday. Played for about 4 hours, reached the first boss but wasn't able to kill him. Pretty much zero progress. It is addicting though. Exactly my kind of game apart from the fact that the pistol is horrible and doesn't do any damage.
@arma: shame you missed the 12 Days deal on Uncharted; think it was half price. I've only played the 1st but it seems to be an HD update that's been done well.
The pistol isn't there to do damage, it is a mechanic that is there to allow you to do more damage if you get your timing down. Are you on Father G? If so the gun can be the difference. Or did you go to the cleric beast.
So it is more of a combo thing? I see. I want to remain completely spoiler free so I never read anything about the game. I used it a few times but thought it was useless. The boss I'm talking about is the Cleric Beast. Is it optional? I didn't see Father G. as an enemy, but I summoned it somehow as an ally.
As you want to remain soiler free I am not going to give you any direct information. One of the first 2 bosses is optional. Think of the gun like a parry from other souls games. I'm not going to tell you when to fire but get it right and you can literally take huge chunks of health off of an enemy or boss. The game doesn't really explain much outside of the odd hint on the floor.
@monsly Yeah I've looked at some PS3/PS4 comparisons and the graphics are just generally improved in seemingly all areas. I'm looking forward to getting onto the second and third ones.
I now know what you mean. Getting better at using the gun. It hasn't been incredibly necessary so far but it is helpful, and I'm sure it will change as the game progresses. Looks great as well. Took the optional boss down in the second try and leveled up a bit.
I bought bloodborne in the sale. Died about 500 times in the first area but took down the first two bosses without dying. Going through old yharnam now. This game has made me jump more times than any survival horror game. Bastard things coming at me from offscreen.
PC or ps4? I'd always thought it might be fun to have some competitions with some other pvcers but it didn't look like anyone else had it or were PC loners that don't play with others.
Is Rocket League that thing with the little shoe cars that kick a ball around? That looked dumb. I blame its popularity on hypnotic swamp gas.
