Finally decided to buy a Mfi controller for iPad and Apple TV games: Steel Series Nimbus. Seems to be the consensus pick by far in terms of what's out there. NBA2K17 for the iPad is what pushed me to get it (surprisingly good for a stripped down version of the console game), but Oceanhorn on Apple TV should be greatly improved, and the general selection of games for Apple TV is getting better.
Yakuza 0 arrived this weekend. It's a little dated technically but is otherwise a good game. I preordered Mass Effect: Andromeda, Nier: Automata, and Horizon Zero Dawn today. I'm not sure if I want to settle for the WiiU version of Breath of the Wild or get a Switch. Undecided. I also preordered the special edition of Hitman awhile back, which should arrive tomorrow.
Bought Horizon: Zero Dawn. Was going to wait to play this when it was cheaper as Mass Effect is out in 2 weeks but all the love its getting I couldn't help myself. Should be here on Saturday. Any one here played it yet?
I'm not far from a platinum trophy. I just earned the Master Hunter title a couple of days ago, although I can't upload the video because the Share function stopped working for me.
I got this last week. I figured that I may end up needing a stick but so far, it works great with my Afterglow Prismatic controller. I haven't went online yet, but once I do, I may change my mind about that controller.
It's slowly coming back to me. But I am having a hard time with these new characters. Just how do you hit Rocket with Deadpool???
Marvel v Capcom are legit fighting games. It's Street Fighter 2 with additional Marvel characters. But 3 came out years ago. Is this a remake?
Are you keeping your pre-order for Mass Effect: Andromeda? Sounds like the character models and animations are pretty bad.
I've been following that pretty closely and have been considering it. I get a pretty decent discount from preordering, but it's quite worrisome that basic things like the appearance and movement of the characters are terrible. It's also not the best timing that I'm going directly from the superb animation of Platinum Games, which could end up being the best of 2017, to this animation dumpster fire what is left of Bioware has thrown together. I'm slightly leaning towards keeping my preorder and hoping at least the multiplayer co-op is good and the story is decent. This week: Next week: Ugh.
I'm hoping the gameplay makes up for it but I won't hold my breath. This guy thinks Mass Effect: Andromeda will have the same LGBTQ sub-theme that Dragon Age: Inquisition did since many of the female characters gravitate towards gender-neutral characteristics. He also points out that one of the designers tweets a bunch of racist stuff and thanks Bioware for supporting him.
I've actually already watched that guy's video and share his concerns. In Nier, the game I just played through, there are gay, lesbian, and even an intersexed main character in the original game, but they aren't "the gay character" that has the gay arc or gay story. There just happen to be gay characters because some people happen to be gay. That's the way it should be rather than forcing this into everything and getting preachy with the SJW virtue signalling. So far this hasn't ruined any Naughty Dog games, but even that worries me. Neil Druckmann is an SJW fanatic. The racist guy at Bioware is a legitimately horrible person. He was brought to my attention awhile back, and it's amazing how blatant and vicious that jackass is. If he said even one of these things about any other ethnic or racial group, he would be fired immediately from almost any job. For whatever reason you can say almost anything about whites currently, including truly vile racist things you get from him.
I shouldn't have preordered Andromeda. Looks so bad. The main character running around looking like she needs to shit her pants would probably be funnier if I didn't have money riding on this being good. It came out in the last couple of days that one of the main animators had no real animation experience and was primarily known for her cosplay. WTF is going on over at Bioware? If those rumors are true why hire someone with basically no experience to do critical work on a AAA franchise?
