Final Fantasy 12: Zodiac Age. Only ordered it yesterday and it's here already. Came with a free FF12 t-shirt as well which isnt half bad.
Is anyone else playing PUBG? Is it worth it? These early access games never sit well with me, because they seem to develop isolated communities playing in a perpetual beta state, but the popularity of this one seems to be strong. I love watching the streams, particularly the streams of people not taking it too serious can be really funny to watch.
I don't play it, but I've somewhat followed the development. I'd say PUBG is a safe bet for a game to graduate from early access. The game is pretty polished as it is. They also have a proper community team that talk to the the playerbase.
Hollow Knight was on sale on Steam so I bought it. Its good so far. I haven't played this style of game in a very long time. http://store.steampowered.com/app/367520/
Life is Strange: Before the Storm CoD: Advanced Warfare Mass Effect Andromeda Amazon has ME for about $15. I saw that there are many custom mods out now that fix some of the issues so I figured I'd give it a try. Advanced Warfare was $7.
I've bought Cuphead today. The developer nailed every detail as far as theme. Its so impressive. Its very difficult, and I've had to replay bosses multiple times and its still early in the game. Game mechanics are really good also, though the hit enemy hit boxes feel like they shrink when you shoot vertically.
It is basically a boss rush game. You have to like that genre to enjoy this game. Its all about trial and error, and recognizing patterns. That being said, the animation is so good, it is also a fun game watch someone else play.
Wolfenstein II The New Colossus Has been getting great reviews. And who doesn't enjoy murdering Nazis?
I bought a pile of games in the Winter Steam Sale today. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Doom Cuphead What Remains of Edith Finch Grand Theft Auto V Witcher 3 Season Pass Vanquish Quantum Break Metal Gear Rising: Revengence Enslaved
I keep thinking about getting Wolfenstein II but all the reviews are mixed. The first one was good in the beginning but it got kind of boring near the end. I've heard the second is similar. I did buy South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
I just bought They Are Billions. I only got to play it for about ten minutes before the kids started demanding my attention, but in the ten minutes, it feels very old school RTS and I like that it has a time pause feature so you can stop and plan. I need to put some more time in to have an informed opinion, but so far so good.
I bought PUBG awhile back and managed to get a "Chicken Dinner" the first day I played with a friend in duos. I haven't played it much lately, though. I'll get a few games in when I get back home later this week. I also bought the Shadow of the Colossus remake, which is probably frozen solid in my mailbox now given it was supposed to arrive today and I'm out of town for work for a few days. Hopefully the cold doesn't destroy it. Unfortunate timing. I didn't have any kills, which is a bit embarrassing, but I was very stealthy. I got downed at the end battling the last opponent, but my friend flanked him and obliterated him easily while his focus was on me. His first win, too.
I picked up Ni No Kuni 2 (PS4 Pro) and Far Cry 5 (PC). Both seem like good games overall but have significant (lack of) difficulty issues.
Definitely better. It's probably the most enjoyable traditional JRPG I've played since Dragon Quest VIII and Final Fantasy XII. It has much of the character and charm of DQ VIII, too, and it's just a beautiful game artistically enhanced further if you happen to have a Pro (or a good PC) and new TV. The main gripe I have about it is the difficulty is just way too easy. I'm hoping from some sort of hard mode. You can do a "hard mode" for skirmishes. The entire game needs this.
