What Games Have You Bought Recently?

  1. Red Dead Redemption is the best game Rockstar ever made. It's better than any of the GTA games.

  2. How's the PC version? I enjoyed it when I rented it for the 360, despite the game being horribly glitchy.

  3. Haven't played it yet but I expect that will be the next PC game I play.

  4. I bought Magicka off of steam.. makes me want to rage sometimes.

  5. Ha-ha-ha.

    You bastard.

  6. I picked up 3D Dot Game Heroes.

I decided I had been pushing my luck with this one seeing as its pretty rare as it is. One copy had been sitting in the shop a long time and I didn't really want to leave it any longer.

There was a kid (around 17) in there going mental. He had brought in a 360 slim to sell, they tried to format it and it gave them a storage error. He said they had wiped his profile and had broken it, he was playing it 15 minutes ago etc and was demanding money, they say it was already broken.

I am going to side with the shop, I reckon he was after some quick money when he realised his XBOX was broken.

  7. I liked 3D Dot but it didn't meet my expectations of a modern LttP game.

  8. From what I have seen its more like Zelda 1 than LttP. I don't think anything will ever meet YOUR LttP level of expectations.

  9. LttP is an all time classic and I never expected it to best it. I think as long as you're happy with a game that is similar to the original in many ways then you'll be fine. It's really quite charming but I thought it was a litle too light for my tastes.

  10. #

    LttP is totally overrated.

I enjoyed the joviality of 3D Dot Game Heroes. Made a refreshing change from the grit of most modern games.

  11. Shut your whore mouth about LttP. I thought 3D Dot had a lot of charm and uniqueness but felt a little empty to me. Maybe I'll go back to it some day.

  12. I just got back from Gamestation where I purchased Heavy Rain, I finally got the navigation controller to go with my Move wand (£25! rip off) and got F1 2010 for my Dad as it was his birthday last week. Next week I'm buying a red controller for my PS3 and the sharpshooter peripheral so I can buy Time Crisis Razing Storm and look way cool playing it!

  13. I'm not sure you're going to look that cool to be honest. I've yet to buy any shooter games on Move so I'd be interested to hear how you get on. Tried the Dead Space demo and that was pretty cool; might be worth a look for your good self.

  14. I can see that getting a little uncomfortable after a while, especially as you have to keep both arms up constantly to play.

  15. I've just picked up the following:

    WWE Allstars (PS3)
    Crazy Taxi (PS2)
    7 Sins (PS2)

Looking forward to giving Allstars a go as I've recently been on a wrasslin' renaissance. Crazy Taxi because the PSN version sucks due to the new soundtrack and 7 Sons because it's meant to be a special kind of awful.

  16. My copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl arrived today. Not bad considering I ordered it Friday. It's crap in every respect. I spent about an hour and a half getting a patch, then an update, then configuring the graphics so it ran without being choppy, the secret was to turn dynamic lighting off. It runs smoothly now but looks like crap. They don't explain anything like what the semi invisible things are that keep killing you without warning, who the bad guys are or anything like that. If you love running about not really knowing how things work then this game is for you. If you're after a good game though, stay away from this turd.

  17. I told you Stalker was a shitty game.

  18. You should listen to your fellow pvc'ers.

  19. Stalker is craptastic Eastern European bargain bin garbage. I got all three Stalker games together for $10. Such a cheap price for three games that aren't very old should have been a warning sign, but I'm a sucker for Steam sales.

Stalker is buggy as hell, even with the patches and fan made mods. The graphics look like crap for something that came out in 2007. If you told me it came out in 2003 and I didn't know any better I wouldn't bat an eye. And I hope you speak Russian or Ukranian or whatever, because if you don't the English translations are so bad you'll have no idea what's going on. It's terrible on just about every level. Even the concept is bad. One level at Chernobyl like what you had in Modern Warfare to mix things up is a cool idea. But why would you want to set an entire game in such a gloomy, uninteresting place?

  20. Oh yeah, I finally got Vice City on Steam... on Friday I think :) out of the 200+ games I bought on Christmas... I only played like 12 of them... Only beat 2. I plan to change that shortly.
