What TV Shows Are You Watching?

  1. That Jersey shore episode of Sunny last night was definitely one of the better episodes of the show, almost up there with the Nightman episodes. They really nailed what a scummy place the Jersey shore is, and I couldn't stop laughing through most of it.

  2. The commercial looked pretty funny. Ham sandwich soaked in rum.

  3. So I guess that's how weeds ends, since there's no talk of renewal? Seriously, What a lame ending. I really feel like I wasted my time watching this the last few seasons. The writing got increasingly terrible and it became more and more like a zany spinoff of itself. They just had no direction for the show. Weeds should have just ended with Season 3.

On another note, that was another awesome episode of Sunny. Child beauty pageants are hilariously creepy. I'm surprised it's taken them this long to do an episode. I almost died laughing at the modern reinterpretation of Yankee Doodle Dandy. This has been a really great season so far. Sunny is a show that never gets stale. Each season has been better than the last.

  4. American Horror Story

It was like they ran through a checklist of every horror movie cliche. The shaky cam and blur-o-vision were annoying. When it tried to be scary, it was either lame or unintentionally funny.

  5. I was wondering how that show was going to look. I like horror but not horror cheese.

  6. not sure if it's much horror at all. I'm just waiting on titties and doggy style action. looks like the direction it's heading.

  7. Person of Interest - like most new TV shows it probably will take six or seven episodes to lay the groundwork for the rest of the season/show but it certainly shows potential.

Terra Nova though was, imo, absolute dross. Family drama 85 Million years in the past...I'll pass.

  8. The season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead had some of the highest ratings in the history of cable TV with 7+ million viewers. That's high even by network standards. I've read that shows on NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox that are on at the same time will probably end up getting cancelled or moved because they simply can't compete with The Walking Dead.

I've been saying for ages that network TV is shit, and all of the good, well written stuff is on cable these days, and the numbers are starting to reflect that.

The premiere was pretty good. They seem to be putting the focus back on the zombie apocalypse and less on the melodrama, which is good.

  9. I got hosed by Dish when they moved AMC to a higher package. I might need to up my package until the end of the Walking Dead season.

  10. Hell on Wheels looks like it might be good too. I do love a good Western.

I'd be pissed if Comcast took AMC out of my lineup. That, HBO, Showtime, FX, and IFC are like the only channels I watch.

  11. I only watch the progress bar of my bittorrent client as it downloads the TV shows.

  12. lol. I have cable and I still use bittorrent a lot of the time because I don't like watching commercials or programming a DVR.

  13. I've been watching Breaking Bad online for the last few weeks from the beginning. The next episode is the season 3 finale. I have to be honest, although it's still great to watch it doesn't seem to have the same impact as the first season what with Crazy 8 in the basement and the whole Tuco situation. They seem to be lingering on Hank's recovery in hospital and Walter has been acting like a complete dick lately.

Still good fun though. I'm assuming the 4th season is the last one, does anyone know?

  14. There will be a season 5, but 4 is the last one that they've filmed right now.

Not to spoil anything, but Walter is a huge dick. He only seems like a nice guy.

  15. Allen Gregory

Absolutely horrible. It came on after the Simpsons. Jonah Hill is an annoying, unfunny, talentless douche. Seriously, how does this ass clown keep getting work? I made it about ten minutes before I changed the channel to some bigfoot hunter show which was a significant improvement on this crap.

  16. I have been watching Drawn Together again. I forgot how funny this is. Random comedy at it's best.

  17. Is anyone else watching the new season of Dexter? It's been pretty good so far. Not as good as Season 4 but definitely enjoyable and I can see it having a great ending.

  18. Yes, I have been recently. I think I am up to Season 6, Ep. 4 currently. Seems pretty good so far.

  19. Hell on Wheels

It's stylish with high production values and good acting. Depending on where they go with the story, AMC could have another hit on its hands. The only problem I see with it is that it seems to be a fairly straight forward revenge story, so I'm not sure how long they can keep it going.

  20. Saw the last episode of Breaking Bad last night, it was a decent ending. I loved what happened to Gus, it was awesome.
