I think An Idiot Abroad 2 has gotten funnier as its gone on. The first couple of episodes didn't really entertain me at all but now I am enjoying it quite a lot. In other news I am now watching all of my premium TV content using IPTV in the form of Sky Go, no dish and no cable and its pretty damn good. Hook my Laptop into my TV and full screen and its pretty much nearly HDTV quality. At the moment all of the channels aren't available but I found myself watching freeview channels most of the time anyway which was part of the reason why I didn't want to pay for a full subscription anymore. Current channels available include.. Sky 1 Sky Atlantic Sky Movies (4 of the 9) Sky Sports 1, 2, 3, 4 and news 5 kids channels 4 documentary channels GOLD All I need now is discovery to appear for my wheeler dealers fix and I will be all set. I Have a roof aerial so get perfect reception for all of the freeview channels and a combination of the 2 seems to be doing me just fine.
Now I've finished watching Breaking Bad I need a new show to watch online. Any recommendations? Everyone seems to love Dexter, maybe I should start watching that.
Dexter is a good show in general, but the quality varies a lot depending on the season, since each season has its own main villain that Dexter is stalking and some are good and some are not. Season 3 for instance is godawful, but if you stick with it you'll be rewarded with Season 4 with John Lithgow as the villain, which is awesome and the best season of the show. The show also tends to be strong when it focuses on Dexter's double life as a serial killer, and weak when it focuses on stuff at the police station or Dexter's family life with Rita and the kids. Thankfully though they've pretty well written Dexter's family life out of the plot in the last two seasons. So in general, it's a good show, just kind of uneven. It's not consistently good like Breaking Bad, but that's because Breaking Bad has much better writing.
Yeah you're the only one. Rita was really annoying. A serial killer show really didn't need a naggy girlfriend/wife. @arma I'd also recommend It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia if you want a great comedy. It has Danny Devito in it and lots of dark humor. It seems to keep getting better. Season 7 has had some great episodes. You're British though, so I'm afraid a lot of the jokes would go right over your head. For the record, I don't get a lot of British humor either. A lot of people like Weeds, and it is good for the first three seasons. But it just gets so bad after that it's almost hard to recommend. It jumped the shark worse than almost any show I've seen. So I'd mostly recommend Sunny, maybe Dexter if you can deal with a show that's generally good but flawed.
If this is what you're referring to I think I'll pass: Ha ha it so funny! He miss what he aim for and that is funny because I did not see it coming and also he break the mirror! That show looks stupid.
It's actually a really good show that I would say is a better comedy than South Park, but if you're going to be an ass about it and judge it from one unfunny clip then whatever. It has a 9.3 on IMDB for a reason. I could post lots of clips of South Park where the humor doesn't work too, like this last weeks 99% episode which completely sucked. It doesn't make South Park a bad show. It's a low budget show written by a bunch of nobodies that was so good, Devito watched the first season and basically just decided he wanted a part on it. How often does something like that happen? Watch The Nightman Cometh, Sweet Dee's Dating a Retarded Person, The Great Recession, or Frank's Little Beauties and come back and tell me it's not a good show. This is one of those cases like where you criticized Mass Effect and Uncharted without even playing them where you're just being a fucking idiot.
Archer is funny as hell. I can't believe you hadn't seen it either. It's off the radar for most people. Probably because it's on FX.
I'm glad South Park did an episode on how wacky the History Channel has gotten with all of the stuff about alien conspiracy theories and ghosts or whatever.
I used to watch a bit of Dragonball Z back in the day and I recently found this site that has every episode from Dragonball, DBZ and DB GT, so I've started from the beginning. Dragonball is a bit crap compared to DBZ but it's nice to see the origins of how Goku met people like Master Roshi, Chi Chi, Krillin and the rest. I( have to say I'm surprised at some of the stuff that's been shown in this cartoon. There was a dinosaur decapitation, Master Roshi's tsunami nose bleed from seeing "Bulma's" tits, Goku naked on the floor after becoming the giant monkey for the first time, Oolong's on demand diarrhea and Master Roshi's general complete perversion. Looking forward to getting to DBZ but there's like 153 episodes of Dragonball to get through first, at least they're only 20 minutes long.
What you talkin bout Dragon ball is ROCKS! If you'd only seem what CN put on tv with DBZ you'll see some other stuff there too... stupid censors. You might as well watch DB Kai, it's like the HD remake of DBZ afaik. http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,4465,akzpdn,dragon_ball_kai.html I guess it's not done yet, and obviously not dubbed... but yeah, it's basically DBZ HD (I read the reviews) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1409055/ than again it might be done, it might not... I don't know... anyway it's new.
DBZ kai is lame. The original DBZ is far better. Better fights, and all of the original better voices and sayings are there. Plus Kai was cancelled after the Cell Games saga.
That was a great episode of Boardwalk Empire. Very creepy and Oedipal. I can't believe they actually showed Jimmy fucking his mom.
I found the first season boring and almost unwatchable. It was a total snoozefest. It was very grandiose with glacial pacing and it was totally going nowhere. This season they seem to have overcompensated by turning the show into absolute trash. But at least now it's entertaining and watchable. I guess they realized whatever the hell it was they were trying to do wasn't working at all, so now they're taking it in more of a True Blood or The Tudors kind of direction. You've got incest, lesbians, the prohibition agent knocking up a whore. The whole subplot with Jimmy's mom getting raped and knocked up by a dirty old man when she was 12 is one of the trashiest things ever. And then there's how she's in love with her son in a creepy incestuous way, and wants to replace his dead wife. You can tell where the viewers dropped off, because they ramped up the trash factor to ridiculous levels. I doubt this show will get more than three seasons. That's usually where HBO cuts off things that aren't working. But I'm curious to see just how trashy it gets in the meantime.
