Both the Doctor and Sherlock are meant to be pretty smart and a bit kooky but so far, I haven't noticed much similarity. They go about it in different ways. I'll need to watch the latest episode again as I had a phone call and missed about half an hour. The only thing I don't really like is Moriarty. The guy's voice makes him sound like a retard.
Portlandia It's all about making fun of hipsters. It's funnier than I thought it would be. I kept seeing ads for it on IFC and didn't know what it was.
Final Episode of Sherlock, The Reichenbach Fall. Excellent episode and Moriarty redeems himself as a decent character, in my eyes. Suspenseful and emotionally charged episode, although the little bit about the binary code was a bit dumb, especially for Sherlock.
Series 8 of Hustle has started up again. I really enjoy this show. Last night's episode was a bit lacking for me though.
Just started watching Archer; seems pretty good from the first couple of episodes. Is it worth sticking with?
I really like Archer. It's peurile humour but I like it. They always manage to get some really decent actors in as guests to do voicework; last episode I saw had Burt Reynolds in it as himself... I'm watching Person of Interest at the moment. I really like the show. It's done by JJ Abrams and Jonathan Nolan (of the Batman Movies) and it's kinda interesting. Like most shows in its first season, it can take a while to get going and its building up some backstory to the lead characters but it's decent stuff. It's by no means Dexter or Walking Dead but definately worth checking out.
I'm watching "The Finder". It's pretty bad, might be a suitable replacement for Lie to Me & Human Target. I love watching bad shows.
American Stuffers Between this and that bigfoot hunter show, Animal planet has some hilarious shit. Except I don't think it's meant to be hilarious. Skip to 1:20 if you want to laugh your ass off. Part of the dead dog got eaten by rats, so the guy glued some deer hide onto the missing parts.
JUST incase anyone hasn't noticed proper Top Gear, and I don't mean that stupid American program, starts again on Sunday. Also Noel Fielding has a new comedy show starting this week on E4. Looks odd like the Boosh and Michael Fielding (Naboo) is in it too so it could be good.
@Khaid I was surprised by how good Game of Thrones ended up being. I wonder if it will stay good now that Sean Bean is gone.
I've heard that Tyrion Lannister becomes the main character in the next Season. Peter Dinklage did as good a job as Sean Bean and even won a Golden Globe for his role. From that teaser it looks like he is going to be a lot more important. Anyway I've been watching 30 Rock. Brilliant comedy.
Watched the pilot episode of Green Lantern: the Animated Series, which is a CGI based cartoon that's being headed up by Bruce Timm (who did the original Batman animated series back in the 90's), and thought it was quite good. There's definitely some Star Wars influences throughout the first episode, but it has it's own original vibe too.
