I was watch a Kevin Neelan standup routine and much like the exact opposite of Bob Sagat, you might see Sagat on Full House and your like 'how could that wholesome American family man EVER tell a dirty joke??' and than you see his standup and your like 'OMGWTFBBQ????!!!' Well Neelan is like all pot smokin slut sexin con artist on Weeds (saw Weeds season finale I was like WTF is THIS??? Like an Real World reunion show all Weeds style and fully made so ABC Family can show it with no censorship at all) and when you see Neelan's standup it's like, he told one SLIGHTLY dirty joke in 2 hours of standup! Not that it wasn't funny (coulda' been better...) and it was pretty recent too not from his SNL 'pump you up!' days (funny story about that ) But the entire time I was like 'OMG WTF???' or maybe that's his plan, catch you off guard with the funny. good plan. sneeky man.
Still watching Breaking Bad when I can. Finished season 4 yesterday and will start season 5 soon. If season 5 can top season 4 then I will be one happy Phisix. Is it true season 5 is the last ever season? Also watching Sons of Anarchy as season 5 of that started last week. Speaking of new seasons, new Supernatural, Game of Thrones and Walking dead should be starting soon too.
The Weeds series finale was actually decent, and it was done in a way where you didn't need to have watched the godawful recent seasons to get something out of it. That's probably good, because most people I know gave up on Weeds around season 4 or 5.
walking dead has October premiers, yes, but game of thrones has april premiers. We got a while still.
in what season did the Botwins leave Mexico (in Weeds)? that's the last season I saw and I feel like it was the last one that's remotely useful. I just can't see them on the East Coast. Plus right about than I noticed ABC Family playing Weeds and I knew it had to be ruined.. Now they've returned to the West Coast but the magic is still taken away, The show is just ruined IMO. I'm not sure if there's any more after this episode it's officially jumped the shark. As far as it being easy to digest and stuff, well I thought episode 100 (the episode before that) was that experience for me, this was the episode they all came back to the West and it was fun to watch! But... yeah, the next episode is in bizzaro world (in the future?? really??) and I hold no hope if there are any more... though I'll probly poke my head in for old times sakes. It's like when Disney took ahold of Doug. 0 for 2 Disney 0 for 2. If they really cared about Japan I'd bet they'd ruin Studio Ghibli too.
It was the series finale. Thought they made that clear. And it's been set on the east coast for the last two seasons. I thought the finale was fine. Kind of a reunion for all of the characters. Although the show pretty much jumped the shark when they burned down Agrestic. The bizarre yuppie community was one of the main highlights of the show. I also felt like they fundamentally changed Nancy as a character after season 3. She went from being a lovable screwup, to just genuinely unlikable.
@ Khaid. Lame! I need me some Game now. Breaking Bad season 5 has been nothing short of epic so far. The train episode was awesome, although I know it was coming thanks to the Monkey.
Sorry, the train robbery episode was just too awesome. Easily one of the show's best. I felt like I needed to talk to someone about it.
At least you refrained from major spoilers. I have episode 8 to watch later and I am finally caught up with where it is so far. Such a shame as I wont have anything else to watch now.
Just watched the big fat quiz of the 90's and Mr Blobby was brilliant. Haven't laughed like that for ages. Kudos to the chap in the suit.
@Phisix Now you need to sell Grim on Breaking Bad. I tried to convey its awesomeness, but he seemed reluctant to watch it.
Don't forget kids tonight is Red Dwarf X night. I read a spoiler free review which said it was good and that it felt like Red Dwarf III again and that the audience helped a lot (last series filmed in front of an audience was VI). Very much looking forward to this.... Smoke me a kipper!
It cant be any worse than 9. Apparently Danny is a lot better in this than he was in 9 and he actually steals the first episode, we shall wait and see.
I've watched through season 2 of The Walking Dead on netflix. It was getting pretty interesting. Three key themes in my thoughts emerged: 1.) I'd love to bang the daylights out of Lauren Cohan , 2.) I'm hoping that annoying kid, who is portrayed by a wretched child actor, gets eaten by zombies soon, and SPOILERS... 3.) I'm glad I don't have to see that surprised/ disgusted look from Dale anymore. That guy has the same facial expression for expressing any type of emotion.
Dale's face was awesome. That infamous scene really made me chortle at the time. I think my main issue is I only like that hick character with the crossbow - I could care less about any of the others.
