My wife had it on the other night. It seemed like a terrible knockoff of both The Walking Dead and The Hunger Games. Network TV has no original ideas these days.
More like The Walking Dead and Lost. I've seen 3 episodes so far. It's not too bad but some of the premises are a bit farfetched.
I was disappointed with Dexter after season 2. I pretty much didn't watch in/around S4, but happened to catch a Season 7 recap of 3 episodes. This show is back on point! Some changes in the story brought about a sense of danger and created a level of suspense, that I felt was missing for a long time. I wonder if it's some sort of lead up to a finale for the show.
Dexter has been pretty good this season. It seems to be focusing primarily on the main plot, with very little filler.
Finished Red Dwarf, Seasons 1-8 and the gawdawful movie thing Amazon calls season 0. 1-8 were on TV with the canned laughter and stuff, the movie had no canned laughter it was more of a sci-fi dramady they had a few jokes (none too funny... or maybe I just didn't know when to laugh) and the main character was made into such a boor. So yeah, it's not the kind of non-stop laughter that you'll find in American Comedy... or even the IT Croud (which I THOROUGHLY enjoy, I equate it to the US' big bang theory... sorta') It's more like the Hitchhiker across the Galaxy film occasionally boring but mostly funny, gets funnier the more you think of it. The 'Season 0 (Back to Earth movie)' was wretched though.
Season 10 (x) is currently halfway through, it is very good again after the disaster that was back to earth. Find it.
I've been watching Sons of Anarchy over the past couple of weeks. It's not bad at all. Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman are really good in these roles. I think they did a really solid job with the casting. I have distant relatives who are into this crazy culture (but with far less crime; mostly drinking and bar fights), and they generally look and act the part pretty well in this series. However, I'm still struggling with buying into the main character, Jax, as a hardcore biker. Tig looks and acts like some biker guys I've met in real life; Jax not so much. I just got to season 3.
Thanks to the wonders of Netflix I've started watching Heroes again. I remember I watched the first 2 seasons without missing an episode, I loved it. I can't remember why I stopped watching it. Now I've started again and am loving it again. Great tv show. I love how I'm able to watch it at work too. I like my job
I really wanted to like that show but it got too stupid for enjoyment. It was like they had a different guest writer for each episode.
Heroes started off good but a little slow and then just got sillier and sillier. Also when Peter lost all his powers it put me off a bit.
