What TV Shows Are You Watching?

  1. Curb your Enthusiasm.

The Palestine Chicken episode had some really funny lines.

    Shara: I like you.
    Larry: What’s not to like?
    Shara: Eh, you’re a Jew.

Funkhouser - When did you orgasm? When she said she was going to !**% the Jew out of you?"

  2. I've not seen an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm that actually made me think it was a comedy, just like arrested development, where's the pie in the face?

  3. That was the first episode I’ve ever seen and I’ve read it’s one of the funniest. I really don’t know how the series does as a whole.

I’d like to see that Boardwalk Empire.

  4. September needs to hurry up for the new Supernatural. Other than that I am looking forward to that Terra Nova. I should start watching Dexter again too.

  5. @bfun

Boardwalk Empire is pretty boring. Not worth getting into IMO.

  6. I've started watching the Falling Skies episodes I've been recording for a few weeks now, it seems ok, special effects look quite b movie-ish and there's cheesey American pride family values aplenty but hey, it's got aliens so I'll keep watching for now.

The one outstanding part for me was when America once again showed it's complete lack of both history and geography knowledge in one sentence. Noah Wyles' character was giving some persuasive speech about how through history small forces have triumphed over much larger forces AND I QUOTE.

"Like when the Scots defeated the British".

I don't what's more retarded, the fact that someone wrote that line into the script or the fact that no-one realised how stupid it makes them look.

  7. I started watching Parks and Recreation as I've heard it's meant to really good in season 2 and 3. The first season wasn't amazing though.

  8. I started watching the first season of Mad Men. I can't say I'm as impressed as with it as Dexter or Weeds, but it's pretty solid so far.

  9. Mad Men is decent, and I like the early 1960s setting, but I'm not really sure where they're going with it. The plot seems a bit aimless.

It does have some incredibly hot women on it though. Alison Brie and Christina Hendricks are the stuff of wet dreams. January Jones isn't too bad either.

  10. I may eventually get tired of it. It seems pretty decent so far a few episodes into season 1.

I'm not to the point in the series when she appears, but I think Jessica Paré is extraordinarily good looking as well, maybe the most attractive I've seen from that show or any show that I've seen in awhile.

Also, the show could be horrible but still get viewers thanks to Christina Hendricks' body. I like her character as well, but she looks unreal on the show.

  11. Shark Week! When fish attack.

  12. After hearing a bunch of people highly recommend it (and also there's no new futurama to watch) I've begun watching Breaking Bad for the first time. I've seen the first three episode of season 1 and I have to say it's awesome. I'm not really sure why because on paper it seems pretty uninteresting but I'm constantly thinking "now how are they gonna get out of this situation?" I found the whole Domingo in the basement scenario to be particularly interesting, I just hope Walter's wife and her brother's Wife have ever decreasing roles, they're very annoying.

And yes I'm aware that my spelling and grammar it very hit and miss today, and I don't care.

  13. What do you mean, just today?

  14. Cheek! My spelling and grammar is excellent thank you dery guch,;

  15. I watched the first episode of the Tudors. It's good but not as good as the much better Game of Thrones.

  16. Give it time. That show gets delightfully trashy when all of the Anne Boleyn stuff starts heating up.

  17. did he just call you a dery guch??

  18. Of the entire series I watched the first episode and the last 30 minutes of the final episode of Torchwood Miracle Day. I felt that gave me enough information as to what was going on.

I did try to watch some of the middle ones but got bored. Its definitely not as good as the original series was (which was pretty average itself) so I wouldn't recommend anyone watch it.

  19. Season 1 of Breaking Bad is actually rather weak compared to the later seasons. It really picks up in season 2.

Walter's wife and sister in law are supposed to be extremely annoying and unlikable, but they don't have huge roles in the series. Keep in mind that a big part of Walt's turn to crime, in addition to paying for his cancer treatments, is him lashing out at how crappy his life was previously.

It has some of the best writing and acting I've ever seen in a TV show. It almost seems too good for TV.

  20. The Playboy Club

It's a craptacular Mad Men knockoff that I only watched because Amber Heard is hot. The main character does his best Jon Hamm as Don Draper impression. The visual style is a total ripoff. I see this getting cancelled after a few episodes.

Why does everything on network TV these days have to be a cheap knockoff of a vastly superior cable show? Don't they have any original ideas.
