I was an impatient spastic, so I would play an emulator game while AOL connected. I could typically beat the first level of any game before I could get on the internet. Good times!
I just watched the Window 95 video. 1) These kids are fucking stupid. When I was their ages, I was perfectly aware of most technology that came before my time. 2) I remember being amazed when the OS would physically shut off the computer. When was that introduced in Windows? Was it Windows 2000?
True story. Shortly after I left college I had a female companion over at my apartment. Being the techie that I was I had a rather fast Internet connection and I offered the use of my Internet to her with the hope of impressing her and receiving relations. Her response. Oh god, are you into that kind of thing? I think one of the often forgotten aspects of the early Internet was that it had a stigma associated with it. Many people thought it was some kind mysterious shady thing only used by anti-social nerds and degenerates. Perhaps that was actually true but it's funny how things have changed. Now when people visit they ask for the WiFi password and you better have one or you risk upsetting your guest.
a lot of people are short sighted on technology shifts. for people like us, we were able to see the potential of the internet and how it was going to quickly change the world. for the average joe/jane though, they have no understanding of the potential of such things. i know of people to this day that still go to places to pay to their bill rather than paying it online. it's quite hilarious.
Was this like T1 vs dial up speeds? If so, there was something wrong with that woman for not ripping her clothes off and throwing herself at you. LOL @ guest wifi. Fuck that bandwidth leeching noise. If my guests don't have their own LTE never come to my home again.
ethan pulled the video for the time being. his points may be incorrect since he didn't have all of the information.
I hope h3h3 doesn't get hit with a 2nd lawsuit. It's one of my favorite channels. That said. I don't believe pulling videos like this should be allowed. He made a public accusation and should disclaimer it / amend it. That's what WSJ would have to do. They can't disappear an article like this.
h3h3 doubles down on WSJ #fakenews Statement From The Wall Street Journal APRIL 3, 2017 The Wall Street Journal stands by its March 24th report that major brand advertisements were running alongside objectionable videos on YouTube. Any claim that the related screenshots or any other reporting was in any way fabricated or doctored is outrageous and false. The screenshots related to the article -- which represent only some of those that were found -- were captured on March 23rd and March 24th. Claims have been made about viewer counts on the WSJ screen shots of major brand ads on objectionable YouTube material. YouTube itself says viewer counts are unreliable and variable. Claims have also been made about the revenue statements of the YouTube account that posted videos included in those screenshots. In some cases, a particular poster doesn't necessarily earn revenue on ads running before their videos. The Journal is proud of its reporting and the high standards it brings to its journalism. We go to considerable lengths to ensure its accuracy and fairness, and that is why we are among the most trusted sources of news in the world.
Shit LeDouche made a film so bad that it only sold three tickets total in the UK. Bringing the total earnings in the UK to $26. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/ne...-three-tickets-sold-991306?utm_source=twitter I guess he was right with his paper bag performance art. People post youtube videos of boring family vacations that have more views.
So if a person had a Samsung 840 EVO 500GB and a Seagate 600 480GB SSD, should they put them in Raid 0 or use them as separate drives? And by person I mean me.
I have two Intel 480GB SSDs running in RAID0. It's fast and gives me one big drive for the OS and games so I can't complain. My setup is from a few years ago when 1TB SSDs were scandalously expensive and ~500GB drives were just getting reasonably priced. If I were building something now, I would just go with a single 1TB drive.
lol most of the time restaurant reviews make me laugh than provide information. I never figured this masterpiece of contradictions out:
